The successful candidate is enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program related to water quality or a related field, will have WHMIS certification and holds a valid Class 5 BC driver?s license. First Aid certification is considered an asset. You have a mechanical aptitude, have basic knowledge of water treatment plants and water distribution systems, are physically capable of performing manual work in all kinds of terrain and weather and have the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Reporting to the Lead Water Supply & Treatment Operator, the Utilities Assistant - Operations assists Water Operators and performs operating, monitoring and maintenance support related to the water supply and treatment facilities and water distribution infrastructure. Come be part of a great team who takes pride in their work to enhance the very reasons the North Okanagan is such a great place to live, work and play.
