Transit Trailer provides sales, leasing, parts, and service at locations across Ontario and in Quebec.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

* Conduct thorough inspections and execute preventative maintenance on various trailer types.
* Diagnose and expertly repair electrical systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
* Handle landing gear assemblies, trailer frames, and bodies with precision and efficiency.
* Manage hitching/coupling systems, suspension systems, and braking systems.
* Conduct annual safety inspections adhering to industry standards.
* Undertake general vehicle repairs on electrical and/or mechanical systems.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
* Collaborate with the leadership team to optimize workshop processes.
* Foster a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Experience & Licenses/Certifications:

* At least 5 years experience as a trailer mechanic.
* 310J Trailer Technician Certification is required.

Qualities, Skills & Abilities:

· Proven expertise as a licensed 310J Trailer Technician.
· Welding and fabrication skills (an added advantage).
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
· Team player with a collaborative spirit.
· Physical fitness for tasks involving lifting, bending, and reaching.
