*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying finishing coats to walls and ceilings, ensuring smooth and professional surfaces. This role requires attention to detail, familiarity with construction painting techniques, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment. Experience in carpentry, caulking, blueprint reading, and maintenance person tasks is highly desirable to support various aspects of our projects.

*Duties*

* Apply joint compound and tape to walls and ceilings to create smooth surfaces for painting or finishing.
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed before taping and finishing work.
* Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete taping, caulking, and patching tasks.
* Read blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute taping specifications.
* Assist with related construction tasks such as carpentry, caulking, or minor repairs as required.
* Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
* Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects.

*Qualifications*

* Prior experience in construction painting, taping, or drywall finishing is preferred.
* Knowledge of construction processes, carpentry, caulking, and blueprint reading is advantageous.
* Maintenance Person experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various tasks.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
* Reliable with good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
* Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
