Position Overview: Reporting to the Supervisor, ChildrenYouth Services, Day Camp Counsellor, Sr. is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of an eight-week summer camp program. Duties and Responsibilities Participate in camp trainingagency orientation. Assists in the development of the summer camp program plan. Ensure the safetysecurity of the camp. Lead in responding to critical situations. Provide guidancesupport to camp counselors. Responsible for supervising children. Maintain professional relationship with peers, childrencommunity members. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Knowledge and understanding of working with childrenyouth. Able to multi-task. Ability to accept supervision and seek counsel. Dependable, punctual and flexible. Second language an asset. Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer. Currently enrolled or recently completeddiploma, degree and/or other certificate inpost-secondary institution. Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer. Able to provideVulnerable Sector Screening check with�Clear� or satisfactory result that meets the operational requirements of the Agency. In order to be eligible, participants must: Be between 15-30 years of age, at the start of the funded position. BeCanadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred.
