*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist specializing in neurological conditions to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide expert speech therapy services to patients with neurological impairments, helping them improve communication, swallowing, and overall quality of life. Your expertise will support individuals across various settings, including outpatient clinics, home and school environments, ensuring personalized care that fosters recovery and independence. *Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders related to neurological conditions
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient?s needs and goals
* Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to enhance communication abilities
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams?including neurologists, occupational therapists, and educators?to coordinate patient care strategies
* Educate patients and their families on therapy exercises, strategies for improvement, and home practice routines
* Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes
* Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with clinical standards
*Requirements*
* Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction
* Proven experience working with neurological patients or in neuro-rehabilitation settings
* Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to speech, swallowing, and cognitive functions
* Experience with pediatric populations and early intervention programs is highly desirable
* Familiarity with medical terminology and patient assessment techniques for neurological conditions
* Ability to communicate complex information clearly to patients, families, and healthcare teams
* Prior school experience or pediatrics background is a plus but not mandatory
