Shunt Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries. *Responsibilities*

* Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety standards
* Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
* Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and records of shipments
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit
* Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle reliability
* Follow company policies for safety, security, and compliance with transportation regulations

*Qualifications*

* Valid commercial driver?s license (CDL) with clean driving record
* Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other industrial machinery is preferred
* Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
* Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is a plus
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping
* Physical ability to load, unload, and secure freight, including lifting heavy items when required
* Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is advantageous
* Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement in driving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
