*Job Summary*
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented 2nd Cook to join our culinary team. In this vital role, you will assist in preparing high-quality meals that delight our guests, support kitchen operations, and uphold food safety standards. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.
*Duties*
* Assist the head chef and other kitchen staff in preparing and cooking menu items with precision and flair
* Support meal preparation for various dining services, including fine dining and catering events
* Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain hygiene standards
* Contribute to menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal ingredients
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment
* Help with food presentation to ensure dishes meet quality standards before serving
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and excellent food quality
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
* Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or culinary settings
* Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety regulations
* Skilled in knife techniques, food presentation, and kitchen operations
* Experience in fine dining or catering environments is a plus
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
