*Position Summary*

The Sales Associate (Budtender) is responsible for providing knowledgeable, friendly service to customers while maintaining full compliance with all cannabis regulations and store policies. This role requires strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to perform independently in a fast-paced retail setting.

Successful candidates will demonstrate initiative, strong sales ability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards on the sales floor.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Greet customers and create a welcoming, professional first impression
* Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all provincial cannabis regulations
* Educate customers on cannabis products, formats, and responsible consumption practices
* Make informed product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences
* Maintain consistent sales performance while delivering exceptional customer service
* Meet or exceed established sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Work independently and manage responsibilities confidently during solo shifts
* Support team members in achieving daily and monthly store objectives
* Follow all store policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance requirements
* Assist with inventory tasks including restocking, receiving shipments, and product organization
* Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and product presentation
* Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong sense of accountability
* Adapt to changing priorities and support overall store operations as needed

*Physical Requirements*

* Ability to stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts
* Frequent lifting, moving, and organizing products and supplies
* Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to *25-30 lbs*
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment

*Qualifications*

* Must be of legal age to work in a cannabis retail environment
* Valid *CannSell Certification* required
* Minimum *1 year cannabis retail or Sales experience* preferred
* Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holiday's
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Basic math skills and comfort operating POS systems
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
