Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Commercial. Industrial. Institutional. Tasks: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions. Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems. Repair roofing systems. Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Supervision: No supervision responsibility. Area of specialization: Conventional and inverted built-up system. Modified roofing system. Rigid pre-formed roofing system. Single ply sheet membrane roofing system. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding.
