*Job Summary*
Marcotte Disposal is currently hiring a *Roll-Off Driver* to join our team.
Roll-off drivers are responsible for the safe operation of heavy-duty trucks to transport open-top and compactor containers to and from customer sites, transfer stations, and disposal facilities.
This position requires operating in *tight spaces, high-traffic environments, and industrial settings*, with a strong focus on safety and precision. Drivers must be comfortable performing *advanced backing maneuvers*.
*Responsibilities*
* Operate roll-off truck in a safe and professional manner
* Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIR)
* Transport and deliver containers to customer locations and disposal facilities
* Safely load and unload containers
* Navigate tight spaces, job sites, and congested roadways
* Follow all safety policies and procedures
* Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment issues immediately
* Communicate with dispatch, operations, and customers
* Keep customer sites clean and free of debris
* Follow assigned routes and schedules
* Complete required paperwork and documentation
* Assist other drivers and team members as needed
*Qualifications*
*Required:*
* Valid *Class A or Class D (Ontario) license with Z endorsement*
* Minimum *1 year of commercial driving experience preferred*
* Ability to safely operate heavy-duty trucks
* Strong awareness of surroundings and safe driving practices
* Ability to perform backing and maneuvering in tight areas
* Legally eligible to work in Canada
*Preferred:*
* Previous roll-off or waste industry experience
* High school diploma or equivalent
*Physical Requirements*
* Ability to lift, push, and pull materials
* Frequent sitting, climbing, and reaching
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Good vision and hearing for safe equipment operation
