Registered Early Childhood Educator (Rece)

Gan Shalom is launching a brand-new licensed preschool and is seeking a dedicated and entrepreneurial Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to serve as our Founding Supervisor. This is a rare opportunity to help create a warm, relationship-driven, community-centered early learning environment from day one.

As Supervisor, you will play a central leadership role in establishing our preschool?s culture, systems, and educational approach. You will work closely with leadership and an experienced early childhood consultant to implement a high-quality, play-based curriculum aligned with Ontario?s Child Care and Early Years Act.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Lead many aspects of the start-up process.
* Help design classroom layout, policies, procedures, and operational systems.
* Recruit, hire, and mentor early childhood educators and assistants.
* Foster a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven team culture.
* Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum under the guidance of a consultant.
* Ensure full compliance with Ministry regulations and health & safety standards.
* Build strong, open relationships with families.
* Oversee daily operations, documentation, and administrative responsibilities.
* Shape the long-term vision and growth of the preschool.

This is not simply a supervisory role within an existing system, it is a leadership opportunity to build that system.

*Qualifications*

* Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of ECE
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a licensed childcare setting.
* Strong knowledge of Ontario?s Child Care and Early Years Act.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and team-building skills.
* A warm, relationship-oriented approach with children and families.
* Comfort taking initiative and building structures from scratch.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
