*Responsibilities*
* Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient
* Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment planning
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, medical history updates, and medical coding in compliance with regulations
* Follow strict infection control protocols using correct techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
* Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Abeldent and Carestream for documentation review, scheduling, record management and xrays
*Requirements*
* Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials to practice legally
* Proven experience working in dental clinics or dental offices with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures
* Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and medical coding practices
* Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures
* Experience with EMR systems such as Abeldent is highly preferred
* Ability to perform vital signs measurement and medical imaging as part of comprehensive patient assessment
* Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse age groups including pediatrics
* Knowledge of regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper handling of medical records
* Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques
