Labourer I  (Time Duration)  8 PositionsPublic Works and Parks Operations DepartmentOverviewThe City of Chilliwack Public Works and Parks Operations Department requires 8 Labourer I (Time Duration) positions to assist the departments through reliable performance in semi skilled labourer duties.Are you the one we?re looking for?We are looking for individuals who have experience as a semi skilled or skilled labourer with experience in any one of these fields, landscaping, labourer, horticulture, small tools, pipe laying and small equipment (line trimmers, mowers and leaf blowers) operators. In order for you to succeed in this role, you will need to have the following requirements and skills: Experience in non and semi skilled tasks associated with labourer duties; Courses and/or experience in a variety of skills and trades such landscaping, horticulture practices Experience and or knowledge of the practices and procedures used in the operation and maintenance of various types of equipment; Able to recognize and rectify and/or report upon actual or potential safety risks; Able to communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, property owners and the public; Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision; The City of Chilliwack is proud to be a competitive employer offering opportunities for professional development, competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packages, and a focus on corporate wellness.The 2025 rate for this position is $31.94 per hour.
