*Job Summary*

We are seeking a skilled and reliable *Brake Press Setup / Operator* to join our dedicated production team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, operating, and maintaining our Brake Press machinery to ensure high-quality custom metal fabrication.

*Core Responsibilities*

* *Read and Interpret Drawings:* Study shop drawings, technical blueprints, and CAD schematics to determine bend sequences, angles, and dimensions.
* *Machine Setup:* Select and install the appropriate dies, punches, and tooling, and configure CNC back-gauge and ram controls.
* *Quality Control:* Measure finished pieces using precision instruments (such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and tape measures) to verify parts meet tight tolerances.
* *Maintenance & Troubleshooting:* Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance, clean machinery, lubricate moving parts, and troubleshoot minor mechanical or programming errors.
* *Safety Compliance:* Follow strict shop safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and gloves), and inspect safety light curtains and interlocks.
* *Material Handling:* Handle and move materials as needed (some heavy lifting is involved).

*Qualifications & Requirements*

* *Experience:* Proven experience operating CNC Press Brake machinery is *strictly required*.
* *Licensing:* A current, up-to-date *Tow Motor / Forklift license* is prefered.
* *Physical Capability:* Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting materials.
* *Attributes:* Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-first mindset.
