About the Role
*Overview*
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool visitors. This role requires candidates to have a up to date NLS certification, as well as the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations. The Lifeguard will be responsible for monitoring pool activities and pool chemicals, enforcing safety rules, and providing assistance as needed to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
*Duties*
* Constantly monitor the swimming area to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies
* Enforce pool rules and safety regulations to ensure guest safety
* Perform rescue operations when necessary, including heavy lifting of individuals in distress
* Administer first aid and CPR as required, maintaining readiness at all times
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck and surrounding areas
* Monitor and adjust pool chemicals to ensure health and safety standards are met
* Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities
* Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with questions or concerns about pool rules and safety procedures
*Experience*
* Prior experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role is preferred but not required; training will be provided
* Strong swimming skills are essential, with the ability to perform water rescues effectively
* Ability to handle physically demanding situations, including heavy lifting when assisting distressed swimmers or performing rescues
* NLS certification is required
* Must demonstrate alertness, quick decision-making skills, and a commitment to guest safety
