Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate. Enter client information in databases. Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians. Help with scheduling and workflow. Bill third party insurers. Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams. Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products. Repair and maintain fabrication and laboratory equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Personal suitability: Accurate. Efficient interpersonal skills. Organized. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
