Pharmacy Assistant

We are currently seeking career-focused Pharmacy Assistants to join our team. Please note that this role is not suitable for students from any educational background, pharmacists, or individuals currently in pharmacy school or training to become pharmacists. We are specifically looking for experienced Pharmacy Assistants committed to long-term growth in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

* Dispenses prescription medication and other products to patients under direction of pharmacist
* Counts pills, labels bottles, prices, and compounds medications to prepare prescriptions for patients as directed.
* Performs administrative duties, including answering phones, receiving and inputting prescription orders, operating cash registers, and restocking inventory
* Places orders for additional drugs as directed by the pharmacist
* Maintains electronic patient information
* Third part billing and adjudication.
* Completes patients' sales transactions for purchase of prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as other pharmaceutical products

Qualifications:

* 3 years of Ontario retail pharmacy experience
* Fillware experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
