Parts Technician will support customers with phone in, walk in, email, and website parts inquiries as well as supporting all internal parts inquiries from the Service Department as a primary role. Additional roles included estimating, invoicing, payment collection and customer follow ups.

*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*

* First point of contact for all Parts department phone calls and transfer accordingly
* Greet and listen to customer concerns, providing a friendly and empathetic experience
* Ensure quick customer response to calls, voicemails and e-mails
* Maintain strong organizational, effective communication, conflict resolution, impeccable time management, decision-making, problem-solving, multitasking and technical proficiency skills
* Comprehend customer requirements; make appropriate recommendations while building a positive relationship with customers ensuring prompt and punctual service
* Participate in daily toolbox meetings with technicians, Service department team, and Sales team
* Assign daily task to Junior Parts Technician and shipper / receiver
* Maintain contact with customers via phone or email providing parts breakdowns and descriptions while updating all contact information within company operating systems
* Serve existing and new accounts by analyzing parts requests, providing quotes with estimated time of delivery, ordering parts,
* Greet and support walk in customers with parts inquiries
* Source parts to fulfil orders while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, suppliers and freight companies
* Manage parts receivables as required
* Order parts with just in time inventory management when parts are slow moving, or costly to warehouse for any length of time
* Maintain rigid inventory control ensuring maximum sales, quick turns on parts, and alleviate dead stock
* Maintain monthly cycle counts with the assistance of junior parts technicians and shipping / receiving
* Conduct annual yearend inventory counts, adjustments and assist FOM on inventory write offs
* Maintain inventory levels consistent with reseller, wholesaler, and service department demands
* Ensure parts are re-labelled and parts kits are assembled for resale under the Barben allocated part number
* Review all returned parts prior to applying or providing a credit
* Assist Fixed Operations Manager with supplier semi-annual or annual return policies to remove and replace non-moving inventory
* Monitor parts sales, and profit margin levels ensuring pricing is competitive but aggressive while reporting to FOM
* Communicate with FOM to take advantage of supplier volume and freight discounts when offered
* Run reports on open sales orders, back ordered parts, and incomplete orders
* Follow up with customers on open quotes, and parts orders
* Investigate parts complaints and resolve customer concerns within company procedures, guidelines and report customer complaints to FOM, while keeping records on unresolved issues.
* Perform all tasks independently in a timely and efficient manor while working within the companies COR safety program and policy manual
* Promote company products and services for all departments
* Support sales with small equipment sales
* Must maintain detailed knowledge of compressed air equipment, company goods, products and services
* Work with Service department to ensure parts are available for service in order to meet customer scheduling
