*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Oil Burner Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing oil-fired burners and related HVAC equipment across various property sites. *Duties*

* Install, calibrate, and commission oil burners and associated HVAC systems according to schematics and technical specifications.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on oil-fired boilers, burners, and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, pressure gauges, and combustion analyzers; perform necessary repairs promptly.
* Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, plumbing diagrams, refrigeration layouts, and electrical wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems.
* Perform welding, equipment repair, and component replacement on burners, boilers, pumps, valves, and other mechanical parts.
* Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference.
* Adhere to safety protocols including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable; ensure all work complies with industry standards.

*Experience*

* Proven experience as an Oil Burner technician or mechanic with a focus on oil burner systems or boiler operation.
* Strong construction background with knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
* Familiarity with schematics, Oil Burner design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration components, and property maintenance procedures.
* Hands-on experience with appliance repair, field service operations, welding techniques, and equipment repair is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus; familiarity with Ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics is essential.
* Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler systems, air conditioning units, propane or natural gas burners; previous property maintenance experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
