*The opportunity:*
The Strategic Marketing and Communications team at the University of Manitoba is seeking a talented User Experience/Information Architect designer to help shape exceptional digital experiences. In this role, you?ll collaborate on innovative projects?designing and delivering wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimized for diverse devices and interfaces. If you?re passionate about creating intuitive, user-centered designs that make an impact, we want to hear from you!
*The qualifications and experience we?re looking for:*
* University degree in related field is required.
* Minimum four (4) directly related UX design experience in a marketing communications environment required (or relevant education and experience).
* Expertise in UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, as well as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is required.
* Experience working with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision is required.
* Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design is required.
* Experience in planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, usability and accessibility concerns required.
* Experience with digital project/product management is required.
* Experience in project management is required.
* An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills is required.
* Strong writing and editing skills required.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is required.
* Proficiency with software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, online work management software, and web content management systems is required.
* Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently is required.
* Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and document design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients is required.
* Demonstrated ability to understand stakeholder needs and goals and to translate into outstanding user experiences is required.
* Demonstrated ability to act positively and efficiently under pressure is required.
* Demonstrated ability to multitask is required.
* Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
