Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Nail technician/specialist and manicurist. Work setting: Esthetician's salon. Tasks: Make custom designs for clients. Apply or remove artificial nails and nail art. Clean, trim and polish nails. Provide gel and acrylic nail extensions. Apply glycolic acid treatments. Maintain and build own clientele. Perform cashiering duties. Schedule and confirm appointments. Manicures. Pedicures. Relaxation massage. Provide customer service. Area of work experience: Manicurist. Pedicurist. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Client focus. Excellent oral communication.
