*Overview*
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced *Restaurant Manager* to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our busy dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in food industry settings such as hospitality, hotel, or barista roles is highly valued. The Restaurant Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive team atmosphere while ensuring operational excellence.
*Duties*
* Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling to ensure high standards of quality and safety.
* Plan and organize daily BOH operations and workflow
* Manage and train staff members, including interviewing potential hires, conducting performance evaluations, and providing ongoing coaching.
* Oversee customer service interactions to ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
* Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS systems and manage cash handling procedures.
* Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
* Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health standards.
* Lead by example in hospitality, leadership, and team management to foster a positive work environment.
* Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to team members
* Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to uphold the restaurant?s reputation for excellent service.
* Participate in marketing initiatives and promotional rollouts
* Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
*Requirements*
* Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles; supervisory experience is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
* Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
* Experience in interviewing, hiring, training staff, and team management.
* Background in hospitality or hotel industry is a plus; barista or food industry experience is beneficial.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and operational efficiency.
* Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety standards required for maintaining health compliance.
