As we continue to grow, we are looking for a powerhouse Restaurant Manager to lead our team and maintain the high standards our patrons have come to expect over the last two decades.
*The Role*
We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Restaurant Manager who thrives under pressure. This isn't a "sit in the office" role?you will be at the heart of the action, overseeing a very busy floor, a high-output kitchen, and a fast-moving bar. You will be responsible for the seamless coordination between the "Front of House" and "Back of House" to ensure every guest receives five-star service even during our busiest shifts.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Operational Excellence:* Oversee daily operations of the gastropub, ensuring peak efficiency during high-volume service periods.
* *Bar Management:* Utilize your deep understanding of bar operations to manage cellar stock, beverage quality, and speed of service.
* *Kitchen Liaison:* Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure food quality, timing, and hygiene standards are strictly met.
* *Team Leadership:* Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team of floor and bar staff.
* *Guest Relations:* Maintain our 25-year reputation by engaging with regulars and resolving any guest issues with professionalism and grace.
*Requirements*
* *Experience:* Minimum of *3 years* of experience managing a high-volume, "very busy" restaurant environment.
* *Expertise:* Must have proven experience in both *Kitchen and Bar operations*. You should know how a professional kitchen functions and have a master-level understanding of how a bar works (from pull to pour).
* *Communication:* Must speak *fluent English* with the ability to communicate clearly and authoritatively in a loud, fast-paced environment.
* *Character:* A "lead-by-example" attitude. You should be as comfortable jumping behind the bar or helping the kitchen during a rush as you are managing the P&L.
* *Reliability:* A deep understanding of the British Gastropub culture and the grit required to manage an established, high-traffic venue.
