Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced *Manufacturing / Shop Manager* to lead operations in a fast-paced welding and fabrication shop. This is primarily an *office-based management role*, responsible for coordinating production, supervising staff, scheduling work, and managing inventory and materials.

The ideal candidate must have *strong hands-on experience in welding and fabrication*, combined with excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily production activities
* Supervise shop personnel and ensure efficient workflow
* Manage inventory, track materials, and place orders as required
* Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
* Monitor job progress and ensure deadlines are met
* Maintain production records, reports, and documentation
* Handle emails, phone calls, and general office communication
* Enforce safety procedures and shop policies
* Support continuous improvement in productivity and quality

*Required Qualifications*

* *Minimum 7-10 years of experience in welding and fabrication*
* Previous experience in a *manufacturing or shop management role*
* Strong understanding of fabrication processes, drawings, and materials
* Excellent scheduling, planning, and organizational skills
* Ability to lead, motivate, and work as a team player
* Proficiency in email communication and basic computer skills
* Professional phone etiquette and communication skills

*Preferred Skills*

* Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of inventory control systems

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
