Job DescriptionWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? As the Manager, Personal Banking & Commercial Banking Performance Management, you'll be the Finance Lead responsible for FTE analysis and reporting across RBC's Personal Banking and Commercial Banking segments. You'll enhance cost transparency and develop modelling that provides actionable insights to senior management for controlling cost growth, while leading Platform Performance Management on investment spend validation and Platform Governance responsibilities.In this role, you'll develop three core competencies that sharpen your financial thinking: Advisory Leadership (translating analysis into clear recommendations for senior executives), Strategic Cost & Workforce Planning (owning FTE trends, cost drivers, and forecasting across two major segments), and Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Environment (managing ad-hoc queries and real-time business dynamics).You'll work at the centre of strategic decision-making where your analysis directly informs how senior leaders approach cost control and investment decisions. Oversee the Personal Banking and Commercial Banking segments' FTE reporting, completing analysis and written commentary explaining variances for reporting periods, driving deeper insights and oversight.Enhancing cost transparency and developing modelling that provides insight and actionable information to management for effectively controlling cost growth.Coordinating with business and functional partners on initiative tracking, acting as the centre of expertise on matters relating to investment spend, and validation of associated benefits.Serve as the End-User Developed Applications (EUDAs) champion for the Personal Banking & Commercial Banking Performance Management team, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise policy.Participate in the completion of deliverables for Investor Relations and External Reporting on a quarterly basis.Provide insights and transparency for centralized expenses such as the deposits insurance premium, and fraud losses.Continuously improve processes, find opportunities to standardize, automate and free-up capacity for value-add analysis and insights.Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects and information requests as required.WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Must HaveBachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in FinanceHighly developed interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and building relationships at various organization levelsSelf-motivated ? ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teamsStrong business acumen, problem solving and analytical mindsetStrong ability to deal with ambiguity, multiple data sources, and translating data/analysis into key messages and insightsStrong communication and presentation skillsAdvanced proficiency in MS Office including Excel and PowerPointNice to HaveCPA or similar financial designationKnowledge of EPM and RBC Finance tools & processesWhat's in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
