Maintenance Millwright

*Job Description*:

EPL Plastics manufacturers and distributes resin produced from predominantly recycled sources to customers in North America. A broad spectrum of duties including preventative/predictive maintenance, installation and start up of new equipment projects, fabrication of guards/jigs, welding hydraulics, pneumatic electrical troubleshooting, acting upon unscheduled maintenance activities (breakdowns) and seeing them through to completion.

*Key Responsibilities*:

� *Installation and Assembly:* Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications. This includes reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

� *Maintenance and Repair:* Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on various mechanical systems, including conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

. *Preventative Maintenance:* Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid costly downtimes, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

. *Training:* Participate in educating production workers on safe operating practices/PM that will reduce machine breakdown and enhance teamwork for smooth operations of production lines.

� *Safety Compliance:* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, participating in safety audits and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

� *Documentation:* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, and assist in inventory management of spare parts and tools. Documentation also includes a journal of daily activities with hours spent on the job you are assigned to for traceability and training purposes.

*Requirements & Skills:*

� *Certification:* Must be 433A Certified (Red Seal).

� *Education:* High school diploma or GED required.

� Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

� *Experience:* Previous experience in a maintenance role, particularly as a millwright, familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

� *Technical Skills:* Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics and the ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent computer proficiency and knowledge including PLC experience, VFD drives, including MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook

� *Communication:* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for collaborating with other maintenance staff and departments.

� *Problem-solving:* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.

� *Preferred Skills: *

� Electrical and extrusion experience an asset

� Certified in forklift operation

� Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the OHSA, ESA Code Book, and other Ministry and Regulations as applicable.

� Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

� Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly

. Hours are afternoons 3pm to 11:30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $31.00-$43.00 per hour
