Job Description Job Description Machine Operator and Metal Fabricator Parr Metal Fabricators is a premier, employee owned custom fabrication facility established in 1976. Located in Winnipeg, we specialize in high quality industrial steel components, including pressure vessels, industrial tanks, heavy ducting, and pipe spools. Our shop is a fast paced environment that thrives on technical challenges and precision craftsmanship. We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator and Metal Fabricator to join our team. This role is perfect for a professional who enjoys working with large scale industrial projects and has a deep understanding of metal forming and machinery. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate conventional and CNC brake and rolling machines to produce high precision components. Interpret complex shop drawings and blueprints to ensure all fabrications meet exact specifications. Execute various metal forming and rolling tasks for materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Manage project specific procurement by ordering materials and coordinating directly with subcontractors and professional engineers. Maintain a high level of productivity while adhering to all company safety programs and protocols. Work collaboratively within a cross functional team to ensure quality standards and production deadlines are met. Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in a metal shop or similar industrial fabrication environment. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings. Hands on experience with brake and rolling machines is preferred; however, individuals with strong transferable mechanical skills are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated problem solving skills and a strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to manage priorities effectively in a demanding, fast paced shop environment. A commitment to quality, a positive work ethic, and the ability to work independently.
