Reference Number: FK03112026 We are currently seeking a candidate who is qualified for the role of Junior Machine Shop Coordinator . The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm. Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to): Assist with selecting machine shops by aligning vendor capabilities with production needs Obtaining quotes for parts Assist with expediting manufacture of parts at outside machine shops Liaise with engineering and manufacturing departments to help solve vendor technical problems Work with the procurement department to issue POs and obtain expected delivery dates Work with manufacturing to determine whether parts are made in-house or at outside shops Collect KPIs related to external machine shops Assist with quality audits of machine shops Key Skill Requirements: Ability to interpret part blueprints is a must Proficiency with ERP software, Microsoft Office, and CAD/CAM software Ability to collaborate with different departments Strong understanding of machining and fabrication processes Document and record management skills Strong problem solving ability in a manufacturing environment Key Experience/Education: Mechanical Technician/Technologist diploma or Mechanical Engineering degree required 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or machine shop environment preferred Application Information: The individual compensation paid within the posted salary range is determined based on several factors , including total years of experience, relevant industry experience, qualifications (education, skills), and professional designations.
