*Key Responsibilities*
* Prepare and cook dishes according to Amato Trattoria?s recipes and standards for quality, presentation, and timing.
* Assist with daily prep, portioning, labeling, and organizing ingredients for service.
* Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety across all kitchen stations.
* Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
* Follow station checklists and closing procedures to ensure consistency and readiness.
* Communicate clearly with management and other kitchen employees to maintain flow and accuracy.
* Work collaboratively to uphold pace and professionalism during high-volume service.
* Support the team by assisting with restocking, rotation, and daily prep tasks.
*Qualifications*
* FOODSAFE certification is an asset.
* 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or similar environment.
* Strong knife skills and solid knowledge of kitchen equipment.
* Clear understanding of measurements, recipes, and portion control.
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine commitment to teamwork.
* Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
* Ability to lift moderate weight and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
