Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals while maintaining kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and operational efficiency. This role involves inventory management, food preparation, and ensuring high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Food Preparation & Cooking

Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes using various utensils and equipment.

Inventory Management

Track and manage food and beverage inventory, ensuring proper storage and minimal waste.

Operational Efficiency

Seek ways to improve kitchen processes and workflows.

Sanitation & Cleanliness

Maintain kitchen cleanliness, follow cleaning schedules, and adhere to food safety standards.

Waste Reduction

Monitor and track food waste to optimize resource use.

Workstation Setup

Prep ingredients, set up equipment, and ensure the kitchen is ready for service.

Minimum Requirements

· Knowledge of the food and beverage industry

· Strong understanding of culinary procedures and standards

· Ability to work independently and as a a team

· Ability to work under pressure

· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome immediate issues

· Knowledge needed for organizing and planning staff, inventory and costs

Working Conditions

· 8 Hour shifts

· Weekends, as needed.

· Ability to stand for long period of time

· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
