Farraline Place is a supportive and welcoming home for seniors, where comfort, dignity, and quality of life are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Casual Cook to join our team and support meal preparation for our residents.

*Position Overview*

The Cook will prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents, maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and ensure dietary needs are met with care and consistency. This role requires someone who is self-sufficient, able to take initiative, and comfortable working with elderly residents in a residential care setting.

*Qualifications*

Required:

* Experience working with elderly individuals (residential care, assisted living, nursing home, or similar)

* Ability to work independently and take initiative

* Reliable, organized, and respectful of a senior-care environment

* Experience preparing a variety of meals for groups of 15 people

* Ability to follow established menus and recipes

* Experience accommodating dietary restrictions (allergies, diabetic friendly)

* Experience in safe food handling, proper storage, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness

* Ability to manage time efficiently during meal service

* Skilled in batch cooking and preparing meals on a schedule

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.75 per hour

Expected hours: 10 ? 40 per week
