Junior Accountant for Vernon Toyota

Position Summary:

Vernon Toyota is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to grow within a supportive environment.

· This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8 Hour shifts.

· Extended Benefits after 3 months employment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

· Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.

· Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.

· Prepare and submit tax and levy filings, including GST/HST and PST.

· Support Inventory Control for vehicles.

· Post Vehicle deals and verify commissions.

· Process loan and lease payouts.

· Help prepare financial reports and account reconciliations.

· Reception Relief as needed.

Qualifications:

· Diploma or Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· 1?2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience considered an asset.

· Pursuing CPA designation is considered an asset.

· Must have knowledge of accounting principles including accounts payable processes, reconciliation, and managing vendor accounts.

· Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

· SERTI Software experience an asset.

· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

· Excellent communication and time-management abilities.

· Must be able to interpret verbal and written instructions.

· Must be a reliable and positive person and able to work as a team player.
