*Position Summary*

The Industrial Electrician plays a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components and custom machinery. This person will ensure all electrical systems meet high standards of safety and functionality, working across our fabrication shop and directly at customer job sites. You will be the hands-on technical expert ensuring our automation technologies?including conveyors and robotic systems?operate with peak reliability.

*Specific Responsibilities*

* *Install and Improve:* Lead the installation, changeover, and repair of industrial equipment and auxiliary systems.
* *Panel Assembly:* Wire and assemble machines and electrical panels in strict accordance with schematics and blueprints.
* *Maintenance & Repair:* Perform routine maintenance on production equipment and respond quickly to emergency situations to minimize downtime.
* *Testing & Calibration:* Conduct quality testing, inspections, and calibrate instruments to ensure system integrity.
* *Technical Problem Solving:* Use logic and reasoning to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
* *Collaboration:* Foster strong relationships with customers and vendors, effectively communicating project updates and safety issues to the leadership team.
* *Mentorship:* Work with and direct electrical apprentices to maintain high workmanship standards.
* *Documentation:* Maintain precise commissioning checklists and record labor, materials, and equipment usage.

*Requirements*

* *Experience:* 3 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial environment.
* *Technical Skills:* Proficiency with *PLC controls*, VFDs, and motor control circuits.
* *Licensing:* Must possess *Ontario College of Trades* registration (309A), qualification, and a valid electrical license.
* *Codes & Safety:* Deep understanding of industrial electrical codes and a "Safety First" mindset.
* *Tools:* Expert ability to read blueprints and use an array of diagnostic devices and basic machinery.
* *Physical Ability:* Must be able to lift 50 lbs and have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
* *Soft Skills:* Strong interpersonal skills, a professional presentation, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

*Working Conditions*

* Environment includes office, warehouse, and fabrication settings.
* Standard shift is Monday?Friday; however, you must be able to work flexible hours and overtime/weekends as assigned to meet deadlines.
* Willingness to travel on occasion
