Housekeeping Attendant

Our Housekeeping Attendants will be responsible for ensuring our guest rooms, guest areas, and laundry facilities maintain a high standard of cleanliness, functionality and aesthetics.

*Duties and Responsibilities:*

*A shift may include:*

* *Rooms:* Cleaning assigned rooms to Inverary Standards, including: change bed linen and make beds*, *replace used towels*, *sweep and mop floors*, *vacuum carpets*, *dust furniture*, *replenish bath care products (e.g. soap and shampoo), and disinfect all surfaces
* *Areas:* Cleaning public areas, like corridors, pool area and conference facilities
* *Laundry: *Cleaning, folding, organizing and distributing property linens using equipment in our on-site laundry facility

*Will also include:*

* Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs
* Reporting lost items to your manager or supervisor
* Ensuring all assigned work areas are clean and tidy by the end of the shift, assisting team members to ensure fulfillment of overall property needs
* Follow hotel health, safety and security guidelines
* Monitor and maintain space functionality and aesthetic to optimize the guest experience
* Engage guests and act as an Inverary brand ambassador
* Attend meetings and training courses as required
* Any other duties as required

*Qualifications:*

* High school diploma an asset
* Previous experience as a housekeeper or cleaner an asset
* Experience with industrial strength cleaning products an asset
* WHMIS certification provided
* Able to work with minimal supervision while meeting high performance standards
* Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Able to work well under pressure
* Able to follow instructions
* Able to provide friendly service to our guests
* Flexible to work in shifts
* Able to effectively communicate in the English language

*Working Conditions:*

* Frequent standing, bending, reaching, kneeling and carrying
* Working with industrial strength cleaning products
* Morning, evening, weekend as well as overtime shifts as required
* Lifting or moving up to 35lbs will be required
* Personal Protective Equipment provided to use as necessary, including gloves, earplugs, goggles, etc.
