home support worker

We have an immediate need for full-time HSWs in the GFW area. Now is the time to get full time hours at one work location.

Pay is $19.45 + 4% vacation. Medical Benefits available.

*Job description*

*JOB PURPOSE*

is accountable to Horwood?s Home & Community Support Services Inc. and to the individual requiring the service duties.

*RESPONSIBILITIES*

· Responsible for the day to day implementation of the service delivery plan specific to the individual in their care.

· Responsible for the completion of documentation as related to the individual required by the agency.

· Responsible to communicate to the supervisor any concerns related to individuals care or the need for additional training.

· Responsible to ensure all complaints are directed to the supervisor. Policies for complaints are to be followed.

· Responsible to become familiar with and to abide by Policies and Procedures of the Agency.

· Required to complete necessary training such as; Patient Safety, AlayaCare, Home Support Worker Course, and Delegation of Function is necessary to specific client.

*REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE*

· Experience in homecare an asset.

· Personal Care Attendant certificate an asset.

· Exceptional people skills.

· The hours for this position vary.

· This is a home-based position, conditions will vary.

Salary: $19.45 plus vacation pay per hour

* 12 hour Night shift
* 5 Hour Evening shift
* Day shift
* Evening shift
* Morning shift
* Night shift
* Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

* Grand Falls-Windsor, NL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

* Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

* Class 5 Licence (preferred)
