Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses�: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Short-haul. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Sitting. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
