*Equipment Operator*

Oakpark Powerline Services is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator, experience working in a Class 1 Railroad environment is considered an asset. The successful candidate will operate both Class 3 Vehicles and Construction Equipment to support project needs on a variety of worksites.

*This position may work both locally or out of town on a set schedule that varies by project, typically: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or 2 weeks on 1 week off. Projects span from BC to Ontario with various work environments from Urban to Rural settings.*

*Job Duties:*

* Drive and operate skidsteers, digger trucks, bucket truck, excavators, mini excavators, tandem dump trucks, roto-dumps for various job sites
* Load and transport equipment via trailer to job sites
* Trenching, digging, hauling material
* Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
* Manual labour as needed to support site needs
* Perform routine maintenance to equipment
* Ability to secure special attachments to equipment

*Requirements and Preferences:*

* Class 5 license
* Class 3 considered an asset
* Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine maintenance
* 3 years experience, minimally
* Experience working in a Class 1 railroad environment
* Able to work independently and part of a team

The successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record check
