Conduct or direct surveys or survey programs. Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems. Perform physical and chemical laboratory tests. Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps and cross sections. Assist in hydrogeological field and laboratory studies. Computer and technology knowledge: Computer-aided design (CAD). Geographic Information System (GIS). Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Field work location experience: On land. Technical experience: Mapping and surveying. Geological sampling analysis. Geochemical sampling analysis. Geophysical prospecting analysis. Seismic surveying. Geotechnical studies. Spectroscopy. Microscopy. Acoustic techniques. Telescopy.
