Job Description Job Description MASTER PLASTER LTD. is looking for a versatile and hardworking Labourer to join our team in Winnipeg. This role is perfect for someone with a strong work ethic who wants to gain experience in both exterior finishing (Stucco/EIFS) and interior systems (Drywall/Taping). Your Key Responsibilities as a Labourer (Level 1) Exterior Finishing (Stucco & EIFS): EIFS Installation: Assist in the installation of expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation boards, including rasping, base-coating, and embedding reinforcing mesh. Mixing Materials: Accurately mix mortar, plaster, and EIFS base/finish coats to the correct consistency. Site Prep & Lathing: Set up scaffolding and ladders; install wire-mesh (lathing) and moisture barriers for traditional stucco applications. Equipment Care: Clean and maintain mixing machines, spray equipment, and hand tools daily. Interior Systems (Drywall & Taping): Boarding Support: Assist in the hanging of drywall sheets, ensuring tight fits and proper alignment. Taping & Sanding: Support lead tapers by mixing joint compound (mud), filling bead, and performing manual or power-sanding to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish. Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute heavy drywall sheets and compound buckets across various floors of the job site. General Site Duties: Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy job site to ensure safety and professional presentation. Safety: Follow all Manitoba workplace safety regulations and use proper PPE at all times. Requirements & Qualifications Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and work comfortably at heights on scaffolding. Attention to Detail: Precision is key for EIFS rasping and drywall sanding to ensure a flawless final product. Outdoor/Indoor Flexibility: Comfortable working in various weather conditions (exterior) and dusty environments (interior). Reliability: A "team-first" attitude and a consistent record of being on time. Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to reach various job sites around Winnipeg. Experience: Previous experience with EIFS, stucco, or drywall is a significant asset, but we are willing to train candidates with the right attitude.
