Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Commercial. Industrial. Institutional. Residential. Tasks: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems. Repair roofing systems. Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Area of specialization: Conventional and inverted built-up system. Modified roofing system. Single ply sheet membrane roofing system. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Personal suitability: Dependability. Reliability. Team player. Screening questions: Are you authorized to work in Canada?. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Employment terms options: Morning. Day. Weekend.
