We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Cut, shape, and prepare metal parts for welding
* Assemble and fit metal plates and components according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality in the final product.
* Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts, etc.
* Perform welding and fabrication tasks according to project specifications.
* Set up and operate heavy-duty metalworking machines and welding equipment such as brake presses, shears, cutting torches, belt sander and drills, and CNC equipment, to cut, bend, form, punch, drill heavy metal components
* Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards
* Collaborate with production team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

*Technical Specializations and Skills:*

* CWB Welding Ticket Required
* Red Seal Metal Fabricator (Preferred)
* CWB Welding Supervisor Certificate (Preferred)
* Experience with GMAW, SMAW, FCAW in all positions for different materials and thicknesses
* Read, interpret, and work off technical drawing and schematics to determine project specifications and fabrication processes
* Experience working and manufacturing for industrial & heavy-duty equipment
* Experience with heavy duty metal fab machines (Press Brake, Iron Worker, Radial Drill, etc.)
* Proficient with common hand, power, & pneumatic tools
* Able to competently and safely operate hoist & lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts
* Strong understanding of metal properties and welding techniques
* Commitment to safety protocols and best practices
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Good written and oral communication skills (English)
* Project management and leadership skills will be considered an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
