Skwl?x te Secwépemcúlecw (SteS) is traditionally known as Skwl?x, meaning Black Bear in Secwépemctsín, the traditional language. SteS has a unique vision and drive; the Band has become a leader in both tourism and economic development within the Shuswap region. Through the creation of Quaaout Lodge, Talking Rock Golf Course, Le7ka Spa, and the Little Shuswap Gas Station, SteS has promoted Secwepemc culture while offering world-class accommodation and leisure experiences. *About the Role*
Multiple Executive Assistant (EA) positions are available through this selection process: one reporting to Kukpi7 (Chief), one reporting to Council and one reporting to an Executive Director. Each EA provides high-level administrative, logistical, and communications support to their assigned executive, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations through scheduling, travel coordination, meeting preparation, document management, and confidential handling of information with cultural sensitivity.
*Responsibilities:*
* Manage calendars, correspondence, travel, and daily administrative tasks
* Prepare and organize reports, briefing notes, letters, and meeting materials
* Take and transcribe accurate meeting minutes; track action items and follow-up
* Coordinate meetings, room/tech setup, and community or leadership events
These are full-time permanent positions in office. The work is performed in person/on site, the successful candidate must be located in the Skwl?x region (Kamloops, Chase, Salmon Arm). Offering a competitive salary range $52-65k /year this opportunity includes a comprehensive compensation package and relocation support.
*Qualifications*
* Post-secondary in Office/Business Administration or related field, with 3 years executive-level support preferred
* Strong written/oral communication, minute-taking, organization, and time-management skills
* Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms (Teams/Zoom)
* Cultural awareness, experience with Indigenous organizations and Secwépemc language is an asset
