Position Summary

Vitro Flat Glass is currently seeking a dependable and safety-driven Truck Driver to transport sealed glass units from our Winnipeg facility to out-of-province customer locations. This role involves regional runs with planned routes and scheduled deliveries, handling high-value, fragile products with care and precision.

Key Responsibilities

Safely transport sealed glass units to regional and out-of-province destinations

Properly load, secure, and protect glass units to prevent damage in transit

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues

Maintain accurate electronic logbooks, delivery paperwork, and trip documentation

Comply with all provincial, federal transportation regulations

Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and plant personnel

Represent Vitro Flat Glass professionally at all customer sites

Qualifications

Valid Class 1 driver?s license with air brake endorsement

Clean driving abstract

Experience with regional or long-haul driving preferred

Experience hauling fragile, specialty, or high-value loads an asset

Strong safety mindset and attention to detail

Ability to secure loads and assist with loading/unloading as required

Reliable, professional, and self-motivated

Work Schedule

Regional, out-of-province routes

Overnight trips required (hotel or sleeper cab depending on route)

Predictable scheduling with advance notice when possible
