*Job Description:*

Tuya Construction Ltd. In Chilliwack is currently looking for Class 1 Truck Drivers. The following are some of, but not limited to, the job requirements, abilities and understandings:

* A minimum of 1 year experience operating a Truck and Pony, End Dump
* Valid Class 1 Drivers License
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
* Able to operate in all weather conditions
* Ability to work as a team member and equally motivated to work independently
* Ability to exercise good judgement and show initiative
* Provide a clean drivers abstract

*Responsibilities: *

* Operate equipment safely at all times
* Follow instructions of Foreman/Superintendant
* Conduct pre-shift / post-shift walk-around safety inspections
* Actively participate in toolbox meetings
* Log and report any maintenance concerns with the truck
* Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members

*Skills and Knowledge:*

* Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures including but not limited to backing up procedures, use of spotters, signage, incident reporting
* Knowledge of gravel truck / semi truck operation, cleaning and maintenance requirements

*Work Environment:*

* Work outdoors in all seasons
* Work near traffic
* Exposure to loud noises

*Compensation:*

* Wage will be based on knowledge, skill, and experience
* Extended benefits after a 3 month period

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
