Dog Walker

*Contract Dog Walker ? North Vancouver (Full-Time, Tuesday to Friday)*

*Treks 4 Pets* is seeking experienced, reliable contract dog walkers to lead small group hikes and private walks, primarily in North Vancouver.

This is a full-time contractor position, Tuesday to Friday, ideal for confident dog handlers who enjoy working outdoors and working independently.

We are looking for someone with prior industry experience and a strong background in handling and hiking small packs of dogs (up to 4 dogs) off-leash in forest settings.

*Pay*

*Group Hikes*

* $45 per dog (up to 4 dogs per hike)
* Mileage included in the higher per-dog rate

*Private Day Walks*

* Set, competitive payouts based on walk length and number of dogs
* Maximum of 2 dogs from the same household

*Additional earning opportunities* available through house sitting, boarding, and cat visits.

*What You?ll Be Doing*

* Solo hiking with groups of up to 4 dogs
* Group hikes lasting 60?90 minutes, covering 5 km
* Daily hiking distances may reach 10?15 km
* Occasional private neighbourhood walks
* Private on-leash walks as needed
* Following all client notes, handling instructions, and safety protocols for each dog
* Monitoring group dynamics and making safe decisions while managing multiple dogs
* Cleaning up after dogs on trails and in neighbourhoods
* Taking photos and recording hike routes to share with clients
* Writing brief updates after each hike
* Ensuring dogs are reasonably clean before drop-off
* Working primarily in North Vancouver, with occasional West Vancouver routes

*Job Requirements*

* Reliable personal vehicle large enough to safely transport 4?5 dogs at one time
* Vehicle must have safety clips and a divider for separation
* Salmon Darford mini heart treats to use on hikes
* Towels for drying dogs
* Smartphone capable of accessing our online software and running GPS or tracking apps (such as AllTrails or Strava)

*What We?re Looking For*

* Minimum 1?2 years of professional dog handling or dog walking experience (mandatory)
* High level of physical fitness
* Familiarity with North Vancouver roadways, neighbourhoods, and trails, *or* confidence using mapping apps
* Strong time management and decision-making skills
* Valid driver?s license
* Reliable personal vehicle

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $350.00-$550.00 per day
