Dental Assistant

*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. *Duties*

* Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
* Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
* Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
* Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
* Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive practices
* Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
* Maintain accurate medical terminology documentation and assist in billing processes
* Ensure the clinical area remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

*Requirements*

* Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
* Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic and Dentrix
* Experience working with orthodontics and pediatrics is preferred
* Knowledge of CAD for digital imaging or restorative procedures is a plus
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Certification or training in dental assisting is required or equivalent experience
* Prior experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous but not mandatory
* Ability to work well within a team and adapt to various clinical needs

Pay: $20.49-$28.00 per hour
