We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant/Steri Tech to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, ensure infection control standards, and assist with patient care in a fast-paced environment. *Duties*
* Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
* Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed
* Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, while maintaining proper safety protocols
* Record vital signs and medical history, ensuring accurate documentation within Cleardent software.
* Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
* Support infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment
* Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care
* Operate dental equipment such as digital X-ray machines and 3D scanners efficiently
* Perform general administrative tasks related to medical records management and scheduling as needed
* Maintain inventory of supplies and sterilization materials
*Skills*
* Proficiency with EMR systems such as Cleardent, experience with dental terminology is a plus
* Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices
* Ability to perform X-ray imaging and operate medical imaging equipment safely
* Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and dental records management
* Excellent chairside assisting skills, including proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques
* Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry procedures
* Ability to take vital signs accurately and understand dental terminology relevant to dental care
* Effective communication skills suitable for working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics
* Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment preferred ( 1 year)
* Proficient command of the English Language
