*Position Overview*
The Corporate Chef leads culinary development, recipe creation, and food quality standards across all restaurant locations.
This role works closely with the Food & Beverage Marketing Director to develop new menu items, refine existing recipes, and ensure menu items are executed consistently and efficiently across the brand. The Corporate Chef is also responsible for *maintaining theoretical food costs* for all menu items to ensure profitability and operational feasibility.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Menu Development*
* Develop and refine new menu items and seasonal features
* Collaborate on menu innovation and product development
* Evaluate new menu concepts for operational feasibility and *theoretical food cost*
*Recipe & Product Standards*
* Create and maintain detailed recipe specifications
* Ensure portioning, preparation methods, and plating standards are clearly defined
* Maintain documentation for all menu items and recipe updates, including *food cost tracking*
*Menu Testing & Implementation*
* Lead menu item testing and product evaluations
* Work with the Culinary Manager to test and refine recipes
* Support menu rollouts and culinary training for new items
* Review *theoretical food costs* during testing and adjust recipes as needed
*Supplier & Ingredient Coordination*
* Work with suppliers to source and evaluate ingredients
* Ensure ingredient quality and product consistency
* Assist in resolving product quality or supply issues
*Operational Support*
* Review food execution and quality across restaurant locations
* Provide culinary guidance and support when menu issues arise
* Ensure menu items are executed according to brand standards
*Qualifications*
* Professional culinary experience, preferably in *multi-unit or corporate restaurant environments*
* Strong experience with *menu development, recipe creation, and food cost management*
* Deep understanding of kitchen operations and food execution
* Strong leadership and collaboration skills
* Ability to balance *creativity with operational practicality*
This role is best suited to chefs with significant leadership experience in multi-unit restaurant environments who are comfortable guiding culinary direction at a brand level.
