Construction Painter

Responsibilities

* Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces before painting.
* Repair cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections using suitable materials.
* Apply primers, paints, and other finishes with brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
* Mix and match paints to achieve the required colours, textures, and finishes.
* Install wallpaper and apply other decorative finishes when required.
* Measure, cut, and apply coatings according to project specifications.
* Protect surrounding areas and surfaces during painting work.
* Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.
* Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and procedures.

Employment Requirements

* Completion of secondary school is an asset.
* Previous experience as a construction painter or in a related position is required.
* Ability to work at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
* Good knowledge of painting methods, materials, and equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills and Experience

* Experience applying multi-colour finishes.
* Knowledge of powder coating and dipping techniques.
* Experience operating paint-spraying equipment.

Working Conditions

* Work will take place at various construction sites.
* The position is physically demanding and involves standing, climbing, bending, and lifting.
* Work may be performed indoors or outdoors and in different weather conditions.
* *Schedule:* Monday to Friday.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
