Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Perform routine maintenance work. Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Security and safety: Reference required. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Green job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
